Meerut: Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik has said that education is not a time-bound activity but a lifelong process. Our universities are the most important institutions for higher education. These multi-disciplinary centres of education determine the future of the nation.
Naik was speaking at the 30th convocation ceremony of Chaudhary Charan Singh University here.
Stating that India is a country with a vast youth population, the governor said these youth will soldier different key responsibility in the coming times.
Naik also said that UP is now growing faster in the direction of women empowerment. Girls are outshining boys in the field of education. This is a good sign for social balance.
Earlier, the convocation ceremonies could not be organised for years in the universities but now the situation has changed and the education in universities is back on track.
Universities are organising admission, exams and evaluation as per the academic calendar. He expressed happiness over the rising percentage of girl students in education.
He said that the education scene has been improving over the years and exams are being conducted in a fair manner. He called upon the degree and medal holders that they should move forward in their lives with determination and quality.
