During interrogation, it was found that accused Narender used the documents of Scorpio Car earlier owned by him to legitimise a stolen car.
"Sonu used to work as a mechanic with registered Maruti workshops at Panipat and Karnal, Haryana and during this he became familiar with the mechanism of the Maruti cars and started committing theft of cars from Delhi and NCR region," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Deo.
He also purchased expensive Code-Decode Scanner, ECM and BCM.
Sonu is proficient in opening locked car and he used to dispose the stolen vehicles by implanting the documents of total loss accidental vehicles.
He also supplied these vehicles to car dealers in Haryana and Delhi as second hand vehicles. Narender and Vijay were prime receivers of expensive stolen vehicles.
