TDP MP continues hunger strike

New Delhi: Telugu Desam Party MP CM Ramesh's indefinite hunger strike demanding the centre to set up an integrated steel plant in Kadapa district as promised in AP Reorganisation Act enters third day on Friday.

Meanwhile, many TDP MPs have visited CM Ramesh on Friday in solidarity of his indefinite hunger strike. Along with CM Ramesh, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) of AP Ravi is also on indefinite hunger strike.

TDP MPs Ashok Gajapathi Raju, N. Siva Prasad, Seetha Mahalakshmi, Kesineni Srinivas, Avanti Srinivas, Maganti Venkateswara Rao, N Kristappa, Galla Jayadev, Murali Mohan, Garikapati Mohan Rao, Ravindra Babu, Konakalla Narayana, JC Diwakar Reddy, Butta Renuka and Ravindra Kumar visited and expressed their solidarity. Ashok Gajapathi Raju said, "Schedule XIII of the AP Reorganization Act says the feasibility of the steel plant was to be completed in 6 months. After 4 years we only see false promises and fake tears for Rayalaseema".

Galla Jayadev said, "A possible steel plant is being declared as not viable. The 5 crore people of AP will not pardon BJP for not fulfilling commitments and playing with their emotions."

Several ministers, MLAs, MLCs and other public representatives have been visiting CM Ramesh in solidarity of his indefinite hunger strike.
