Security beefed up at Ramanathaswamy temple

Rameswaram (TN): Following the blasts that rocked Sri Lanka, security was Friday tightened at the Ramanathaswamy temple, police said here.

Bomb disposal squads, sniffer dogs, baggage scanners and armed police personnel have been deployed as part of the security measures taken at the place of worship, superintendent of police Om Prakash Meena told reporters here.

On Sunday last, multiple explosions ripped the island nation of Lanka killing over 250 people and leaving several others injured.
