Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that redressing grievances and problems of the common citizens was his government's top priority. The problems should not be brushed under the carpet but should be resolved at the local level itself.

He was addressing the first Collectors' Conference here on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister instructed the collectors to solve even the minor problems as early as possible. The issues relating to the Tehsildar- level should be solved by the Tehsildar himself and the problems relating to the district should be resolved at that level only.

The citizens should not run to the capital for even partition of land, boundary disputes and electricity connections. The Chief Minister said he has total faith in the bureaucracy and he knows pretty well how to take decisions in favour of the common citizens.

Bhupesh Baghel said the District Mines' Fund (DMF) should be utilised in the local areas for the welfare of education, health and improving the living conditions of the locals. The funds should be utilized for appointing the high-quality teachers in the local schools, doctors in hospitals and animals' welfare.

Chief Minister added that with the implementation of 'Narwa, Garuva, Dhurva, Baari', the lives of the villagers will improve in due course of time. In the earlier times, the villagers used to travel only for buying salt and used to grow the rest of items in the villages itself. In the current times the villagers are rushing to towns for employment and basic necessities.
