Ram Janmabhoomi Path inaugurated
Newly built road stretches an impressive 566 metres in length & is 30 metres wide;
:As the construction of the grand Ram temple at Ramjanmabhoomi complex continues at frantic pace, a new path leading to the sacred site was unveiled on Sunday, promising enhanced convenience and accessibility for the pilgrims.
The newly constructed road, christened “Ram Janmabhoomi Path,” stretches an impressive 566 metres in length and is 30 metres wide, befitting the aura of grandeur synonymous with the Ram temple under construction.
Prior to the introduction of this new route, devotees used the traditional path through Hanumangarhi and in front of Dashrathmahal to reach Ramjanmabhoomi. “While this traditional route is also being widened in conjunction with the temple’s construction, the final decision on its usage after the widening will be made once the temple and the establishment of Ramlala are completed,” Anil Mishra, General Secretary of Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said.
He said after the opening of Ram Janmabhoomi Path, devotees instead of passing through Hanuman Garhi, would now proceed towards Ram Mandir, passing in front of Dharamshala and Sugriva Kila, before reaching Amava Ram Mandir and Rangmahal and finally entering the Ramjanmabhoomi complex.
The inauguration of the newly constructed route was marked with an auspicious ceremony where flowers were showered on the visitors of Ramlala amid the chanting of Vedic mantras. Dignitaries present at the ceremony included General Secretary of Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champatrai; member of Teerth Kshetra Trust and head of Ayodhya royal family, Bimalendramohan Mishra.
Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, former mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay; former chairman of UP Land Development Bank Nishendramohan Mishra Guddu, VHP’s provincial spokesperson Sharad Sharma along with Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal and District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, among others were present there. “One of the key reasons behind the creation of the new Ramjanmabhoomi Marg was to facilitate the construction of the temple’s wall, which necessitated blocking the entry of devotees through the traditional Darshan Marg. While the new route is not yet fully completed, it has been thoughtfully designed to ensure smooth movement of devotees,” Mishra said.
He said this new pathway not only promises a more convenient and wider access to the sacred Ramjanmabhoomi but also shortens the distance by 500 meters, making the journey for pilgrims even more accessible and fulfilling. “As the construction of the grand temple at Ramjanmabhoomi nears its completion, these thoughtful additions are expected to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience for devotees from all over the world,” he said.
