Patiala: Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Preneet Kaur said that under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' mission of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the state government is committed to provide jobs to the youth of the state.
Kaur also handed over appointment letters to 145 dependants of deceased employees of Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) in which 42 candidates of class 3 and 103 candidates of class 4 different categories are included.
Kaur further said that PSPCL has already given employment to 890 dependants of deceased employees of the PSU from April 2017 to March 2019.
"The PSPCL is playing a major role in the overall development of the state. I'm hopeful that newly recruited youth would play a positive role in the development of Punjab," Kaur said.
Speaking on the occasion, PSPCL CMD Baldev Singh Sran disclosed that the PSU would fill 5,363 posts of different categories in the near future. The CMD has also appealed to the candidates who have been handed over appointment letters to plant at least one sampling and take care till it grows into a tree and contribute for the environment cause.
RP Pandove, director (administration) welcomed Kaur for sparing valuable time for gracing the occasion.
On the occasion, OP Garg, director commercial, NK Sharma, director distribution, SK Puri director generation and many senior officers of the PSPCL were also present.
