N K Sinha takes charge as I&B Secretary

Bihar cadre IAS officer (1980) Narendra Kumar Sinha took over the charge as Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Friday. Sinha assumed the office on transfer of IAS Ajay Mittal.
Earlier Sinha was Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. In the span of his 35 years bureaucracy career, he has held charges in both State and Central level, from grassroot to the higher level. Apart from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Sinha has also been the Principal Secretary, Information Technology Department, Government of Bihar.
He also served as the Additional Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. Sinha is a Post graduate in Electrical Engineering from IISC, Bangalore. He has also done MBA from Southern Cross University, Australia and is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India).
Well-known for his lectures and his participation in workshops, symposium and public functions to connect with experts, stakeholders and general public to explain them government schemes, elicit their response on various government policies and social issues, Sinha also represented Government of India in abroad during national and international meetings, negotiations and events.
