J'khand to start 50 new food processing plants

New Delhi: While addressing a road show on Global Agriculture and Food Summit, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das said that the state is a state full of possibilities as it has 40 per cent of the country's mineral resources.

Highlighting about the achievements of his government, the Jharkhand CM said, "Total 89 food processing plants have been started in the state and it provided employment to over 3,000 people. The government would start 50 new food processing plants on the first day of the Global Agriculture and Food Summit on November 29," Das said, adding that all the investors are invited to participate in the agriculture summit and invest in the state.

The Jharkhand CM said that due to political instability, Jharkhand suffered a lot and couldn't reach the height it should have been. "The policy of single window in Jharkhand was made in 2016 and we successfully organised Global Summit in 2017," Das said.

According to the Jharkhand CM, 354 industrial units have been set up in the state and Rs 49,000 crore has been invested resulting in 62,000 employment to people of the state.

"The state government is doing its best to double the income of farmers by 2022. The villages in the state have been developed and provided with infrastructural facilities to increase farmers' income," the CM said.
