I'll do whatever is good for people: Chandrababu Naidu

New Delhi: Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, has plenty of tasks at hand. For a starter, he has to win his own state election. Secondly, he has to secure a fragmented opposition to fight Modi in the coming Lok Sabha election. And thirdly, he has to realise his dream project 'Amaravati'; touted as India's first smart & blue-green capital, for the people of Andhra.

Speaking exclusively to the Millennium Post, the soft-spoken, unassuming, task-oriented Chief Minister, listed out at least 16 counts of negative initiatives of Prime Minister Modi; to substantiate what he called "Govt of Wrong Policies & Non-Performances".

He said, like everyone else, he too expected Narendra Modi to turn around the state of affairs of this country. Brushing aside the question as to who will be PM face of opposition, he said many a time in the past, regardless of which coalition came to power, the name of the Prime Minister has emerged only at the very end. Asked whether he would like to be the PM or just anchor the opposition movement, he said, "I am happy as a CM and have no plans to go to Delhi. But I will do whatever is good for the people." On his state capital project, he said, "I am building the Capital City of Amaravati, which will be positioned among the top 5 cities in the world. We are already No. 1 in 'ease of living'. Now I want to empower my people with 'ease of living happily' (an idea he founded during Happy City Summit in April). I am in politics for 40 years now and have given people of Hyderabad many things to be proud of. Now, I am building another city, a Greenfield project, as opposed to the Brownfield project of Hyderabad.

"Amaravati is being built with no help from the Central Govt., which has gone back on its own words. Under the bifurcation Act, we were to get some fund. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, on the floor of the Parliament, had promised to grant Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. I went to Delhi 29 times to request for Special Status and fund but was refused. Is that not betrayal with the people of AP?"

His connect with people was evident from the passionate comments of young unemployed during the launch of Yuva Nestham. He is equally familiar with the technology & business trends across the world and wants to bring in the best for his people.

He said, "Artificial Intelligence is the high point of technology today. We have applied AI to measure rainfall, purity of drinking water etc. in real time, as also to aid transport system and land records.

All this and more has been planned for the people of Andhra Pradesh by their beloved Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Now whether people will reward him with another term or not is to be seen.
