Shimla: Himachal Pradesh police have filed an FIR against Haryana state BJP president Mohanlal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal, following a woman's complaint alleging gang-rape during her visit to the popular tourist destination of Kasauli.

The woman claims she met the duo on July 3, 2023, and was sexually assaulted by them during her stay at Kasauli and later also threatened dire consequences if she disclosed the incident.

Solan district police on Tuesday confirmed the registration of the FIR against duo on December 13,2024 under sections 376-D (gang-rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) IPC at Kasauli.

The complainant, who hails from Delhi has alleged that the two men—one introduced himself as political leader and another singer, had met accidentally at Kasauli while she had gone there along with her employer and a friend.

The accused took her to a hotel –HPTDC’s hotel Ros Common, where they were staying.

According to the FIR, the woman alleged that Rocky Mittal offered her a role in his album while Badoli claimed to get her a government job due to his high connections in Haryana.

They forcibly offered drinks and thereafter allegedly raped her and even made some videos and took photographs.

They threatened to kill her if she ever disclosed about the sexual abuse disclosed to anyone.

As a result, she kept quiet but two months back, the accused again approached and called at Panchkula where started planning to implicate her in a criminal case.

The 61-year-old BJP leader Badoli has rejected the charges terming it as political conspiracy while Mittal’s reaction is yet awaited.
