Form anti-crime teams to nab miscreants: Patna DIG

Patna: With an aim deliver speedy justice to people, Patna (central range) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Rajesh Kumar has on Tuesday kick-started special checking drive and directed all police officials, including senior superintendent of police to start intensive patrolling in their areas.

The DIG also directed all the police station in-charge, senior-level police officials to constitute their own anti-crime team to crack a whip on criminals. As per the DIG's direction, every team would have a senior officer, five trained commandos, either one four-wheeler or two bikes to nab criminals from their hideouts.

As a measure to tighten the noose on criminals and offenders, DIG Rajesh Kumar, a 2003-batch IPS officer, has also directed its officials to start pocket search concept to raid all crime-prone areas. As per him, the plan is to constitute 10 teams that would raid at least 50 crime-prone pockets every day. The team would raid market places, shopping malls, multiplex, etc to nab the miscreants.
