New Delhi: An extensive cleanliness campaign and tree plantation programme was organised in Railgaon Railway Colony of North Central Railway at Subedarganj, under the leadership of General Manager NCR, Rajiv Chaudhry on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Tuesday.
The General Manager started with the shramdaan under cleanliness campaign.
A tree plantation program was also organized in Mahadevi Verma park in Railway Colony Subedarganj. Rajiv Chaudhry General Manager also planted a sapling and started the plantation program. All the Principal Head of Departments, other officers and staff also planted Saplings on the occasion. Saplings were also distributed to staff for plantation.
Rajiv Chaudhry encouraged all the railway staff to plant more and more plants, by explaining the relevance of trees in a clean and healthy life. Chaudhry also desired to make the Indian Railways clean and comfortable for the passengers as well as called everyone to contribute to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
