Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has decided to organise weeklong 'Gandhi Vichaar Yatra' to mark 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The yatra would commence on Friday under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from Gandhi Gram Kandel of Dhamtari district and it would conclude at Gandhi Maidan of Raipur.
To promote vision and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi among the masses and to commemorate Kandel Nahar Satyagrah, dignitaries such as Vidhan Sabha Speaker Charandas Mahant, Cabinet Ministers, MPs, MLAs, public representatives and a large number of citizens would participate in the 'padyatra'. As per the schedule, the yatra would commence after unveiling a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at village Kandel by the CM and addressing a public gathering.
