Karimnagar (Telangana): Two persons were on Friday sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment each by a court here for raping an 18-year-old woman in Ramagundam in 2013.
Karimnagar V Additional Sessions Judge M Nagaraju held Mohammed Sameer alias Aqil (20) and Sura Rajkumar (22) guilty and sentenced them to 20 years rigorous imprisonment.
He also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on both of them.
According to the police, the victim was waiting for a train at Ramagundam, about 70 km here, on the night of April 18, 2013 when Sameer, a local, lured her to a nearby park and raped her.
Rajkumar, who came to the park at that time, also raped the woman.
