Naidu asks DDA to examine changes in MPD 2021

Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday asked the DDA to examine certain possible changes in Master Plan of Delhi 2021 to bring it in conformity with industrial, health and education policies of Delhi government.

The issue pertaining to the MPD 2021 was discussed between Naidu and Delhi Power and Health Minister Satyender Jain here. Jain has requested for certain amendments in the provisions of Master Plan of Delhi 2021, to bring it in conformity with Industrial Policy, Health Policy and Education Policy of Delhi Government.

According to a senior UD Ministry official, Naidu gave directions to the officials of Urban Development 
Ministry and DDA to examine these issues expeditiously and resolve them in the earliest.

Relaxation of ECS (electronic clearing service) norms and simplification of procedure of certain mandatory approval were requested by Jain during the meeting. With respect to the requests for allotment of 3.5 acres additional land adjacent to Dina Dayal Upadhyay Hospital at Hari Nagar, New Delhi for establishment of a Medical College, Urban Development Minister has responded positively and gave directions to the DDA to consider it. Jain has also brought the issue of allotment of land to 18 Societies by DDA at concessional rate over last few decades. In some cases, the societies have not commissioned hospitals, as per the Lease Rules.

Naidu directed DDA to examine all these cases and cancel those allotments wherein the land is not used for the purpose for which it is allotted.
