Amid Modi-for-PM chant in BJP and elevation of Rahul Gandhi in Congress, a senior Samajwadi Party leader today proposed party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s name for the top post, claiming several regional parties have accepted him as their leader. Samajwadi Party is in touch with regional parties which have agreed to form a third front with Yadav as their leader, SP general secretary Ram Asrey Kushwaha said here. ‘People have developed a strong dislike for both BJP and Congress for their failure to rein in corruption, and now they want a third front to form government,’ he said.
‘Everybody is looking forward to Yadav, a leader of the farmers, as the Prime Ministerial candidate,’ Kushwaha said.
