MTS telecom services has announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at its women customers, empowering them with a sense of safety on the occasion of Women’s day.
As per this initiative, MTS Women mpowered, women customers buying a new MTS connection will be given a free pepper spray, along with provisions like making calls at negative balance, special call, SMS rates and safety tips. MTS also has set up a special vigilance team that would provide free self defense classes to its women customers.
The existing women customers can also avail these benefits by a special tariff voucher recharge.
‘With the incidents of crime on the rise especially against women, the challenge is to come up with innovations to create a safer environment. This Women’s Day, we are doing our bit by launching MTS Women Mpowered. Starting with Delhi, the plan is to roll out this initiative in other circles over the next few months’ told Leonid Musatov, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, MTS India.
