The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday slammed Narendra Modi government’s statement over the disclosure of names of individuals who have stashed black money abroad calling it a betrayal with the people of India and first major breach of trust by this regime.
‘The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government’s stand is identical to its predecessor, the United Progressive Alliance government, and it is now clear that the Narendra Modi government has also buckled under pressure of powerful people who have kept their illegal money in foreign banks,’ said Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson.
‘What is shocking is that the BJP, which had brought an adjournment motion in Parliament in 2011
demanding the disclosure of names of those who have black money stashed in foreign bank accounts, is now giving the same defeated and rejected excuses to deny this information from being made public,’ he said.
