In a horrific incident in East Delhi’s West Vinod Nagar, a mother and her three-year-old daughter were stabbed to death and a suicide note left to misguide the cops and give it a colour of suicide. The cops suspect the hand of an insider.
When Geetanjali’s husband, who is a railway employee, returned home on Monday evening in his West Vinod Nagar house, he saw the door of his house locked from inside. When the door wasn’t opened, he informed the landlord who in turn informed the police. It was learnt that the family had rented the place some months ago.
When the cops opened the door, they found the dead bodies of the Geetanjali and her three-year-old daughter. Both were stabbed to death by a sharp-edged weapon. The senior police officers visited the crime scene. The fingerprints from the crime scene were collected and bodies sent for the post-mortem.
“A suicide note was left at the crime scene to mislead the investigation. We are seeing all possible angles in this double murder case,” said DCP East Ombir Singh.
The cops have registered a murder case and are investigating the case.
