Prime minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the people of Chhattisgarh and conveyed his best wishes on the 14th anniversary of the state’s formation, which will be celebrated as ‘Rajyotsav’ from 1-3 November at Naya Raipur, the upcoming capital city of the state.
‘In his congratulatory message to chief minister Raman Singh, the prime minister has stated that Chhattisgarh has made a significant progress in many fields and people of the state should be proud of its achievement,’ an official statement here said on Thursday.
‘Chhattisgarh can be a role model for other states of the country in several fields,’ the statement quoted Modi saying and added that the prime minister has wished the state a glorious future and sustained prosperity.
One of the youngest states, Chhattisgarh will celebrate its foundation day as ‘Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava 2014’ from 1 to 3 November here on Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee premises in Naya Raipur.
As per a release by the State Tourism Board, ‘Parab Chhattisgarh’ will be the cultural theme of the event which will showcase varied traditional and cultural heritage of the state.
Renowned artists from various states like Manipur, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Delhi etc will perform during the three-day event.
