Modi wants ideas on plan panel’s replacement

Update: 2014-08-20 00:17 GMT
Prime minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday invited innovative ideas from the people on the composition of a new panel in place of  the Planning Commission. While claiming that Planning Commission is no longer a success ladder to achieve goals, the PM in a statement through a social networking site said, ‘Sometimes it becomes necessary to repair a house. It costs a lot of money. But it does not give us satisfaction. Then we feel it is better to make a new house.’ Already, the NDA government has created a special open forum on the website www.mygov.nic.in for suggestions on the new institution. Anyone can log in and became a member of the team and their ideas will be considered for further discussion. There will be two categories in the forum including permanent and temporary where people with determination to serve the nation with their thoughts and ideas can share their views directly with the PMO.
