Fresc Co. hosted the age-old ceremony of Cake Mixing in the Capital. This age old tradition is said to be the harbinger of happiness.  A tradition of getting together to marinate dried fruits and nuts with spices and rum, weeks before Christmas, that will eventually be baked on Christmas eve to make a sumptuous cake.

The ceremony began with the Chef Ankit Mangla encouraging the guests to don santa caps and wear gloves and aprons to dig in and mix the huge pile of dry fruit cake ingredients for the Christmas Plum Cake ushering in the Christmas festivities.

The mixture was an assortment of fruits like almonds, cashew nut, black current, sweet ginger, walnut, candied fruit, candied glazed cherry, orange peel, figs and raisins soaked and matured in liquor like Rum and Brandy, combined with sweet spices, flour, egg, butter and sugar. All the guests enjoyed the age old mixing tradition. The décor of the restaurant was emitting the festive theme. Christmas hangings in silver and red backed with Christmas jingles created the perfect setting for this fun and frolic ceremony.

The gala cake mixing session was followed by a brunch spread with fresh and authentic Mediterranean favorites, Sangria and chilled beer to compliment it all.
