According to the senior police officers of the South district, the incident took place on Thursday afternoon at a farmhouse at Fatehpur Beri. The minor girl is a sister of the driver who works for the owner of the farmhouse.
A native of Rajasthan, the girl had come to meet her brother. An investigating officer said that since the brother of the minor girl had to go out for work, he left his sister in the servant’s quarter. Finding the 13-year-old girl alone, Pravesh lured her to his room in the servants quarter and sexually assaulted her.
According to the police, when the girl’s brother came back to the farmhouse, she told him what had happened after which the driver made a PCR call. Local police rushed to the spot and took the girl to a nearby hospital for medical examination which confirmed sexual assault.
A case under relevant sections of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act was registered at the Fatehpur Beri police station against the accused, police said. Further investigation is underway.
