Three-and-a-half-year-old daughter of a Delhi-based stock broker, who was allegedly kidnapped from a hotel here a few days ago, was on Sunday rescued by police. The child, who had been abducted by her father’s business partner Jagpal Beniwal for a ransom of Rs one crore on January 15, was rescued from a village in Jind, Haryana, this evening, police said. Two persons have been arrested in this connection, they said.
The girl’s father, Harish Arora, had come to stay in the city in a hotel in Sector 22 on 12 January with his wife and their two children, police said.
In the last five days, police had sent teams to Jind, Hisar, Panipat, Delhi, Kaithal and Karnal to trace the girl, police said.
