Mikhail clams up after police visit him

A Mumbai Police team on Thursday visited Guwahati and talked to Sheena Bora’s brother Mikhail, who claimed to have evidence in the case. However, Mikhail, who spoke to the media on Wednesday, clammed up after the police left his house.

A Mumbai police official in plain clothes and a constable accompanied by Assam Police personnel arrived at house No 8 at Sundarpur Byelane One in the Ganeshguri area. “It is a sensitive case. <g data-gr-id="18">Investigation</g> is on,” an official said. To persistent queries, he said: “Let me first investigate...After discussions, I will inform you all.”

Mikhail came out of the house about half an hour, after the police left, to leave in his car with two friends. The youth, who was vocal till Thursday morning, clammed up when asked about what transpired in his meeting. Questioned if he was summoned to the Dispur police station, Mikhail flashed an envelope and said “I am going to the hospital” and then drove away. Mikhail Bora, who claims to be Indrani <g data-gr-id="19">Mukerjea’s</g> son, had told media that he has evidence on his sister Sheena’s murder. 

Mikhail claimed their mother killed Sheena and he knew why. He had said he would wait till Indrani confesses it to the police and if she did not, he would do “whatever is necessary”.

Indrani <g data-gr-id="40">Mukherjea’s</g> son Mikhail Bora on Thursday said he could be his mother’s next target after she killed his sister Sheena Bora in 2012. “I do not know. I may be the next target of my mother. She is very powerful and she can do anything she wants,” he said.
