Four persons belonging to Mewati gang were arrested for their involvement in the murder of a Delhi police head constable, who had questioned their suspicious activity of loading cows in a truck. According to the police, the accused have been identified as Rahis, Mubarak, Jamshed and Aarif, who have been booked for the murder of Yashpal Singh on 24 August.
During investigations, police found Mewati gang was involved in the murder. Some eye-witnesses had said that these gangs picked cows for slaughtering from the rural areas of Delhi. Police laid a trap and arrested Rahis from old Gurgaon road. During interrogation, he disclosed that on the intervening night of 23-24 August, he and his associates came to pick up cows. Yashpal tried to stop them and during the scuffle, they shot him dead.
