MBA graduate-turned-criminal arrested for attempt to murder, extortion

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested an MBA graduate who was wanted in cases of attempt to murder and extorting money from gambling mafias in West and South-west districts. Accused Ravinder was arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch. The accused is an active member of the desperate ‘Saddam Gauri’ gang, active in West and South-west districts of Delhi and is previously involved in several criminal cases.

The accused was wanted in an attempt to murder case that happened in Janakpuri on December 19 where the accused along with his associates teased a girl near Pankha Road. A taxi driver tried to intervene when the girl raised an alarm and one of the accused shot the man on his toe. The cops had earlier arrested two of the accused but Ravinder was absconding since then. The cops have formed several teams to arrest the absconding accused.

Police developed information that Ravinder would be coming to Dwarka Sector 10 Metro station and was nabbed from the spot.

Accused Ravinder belongs to a middle class family. He has studied upto MBA. His father is an employee in the CPWD. In the year 2010, he came in contact with local criminals and joined the Saddam Gauri gang, active in West and Southwest Districts of Delhi, which is indulged in several heinous offences, running satta mafia and extorting money from other satta operators. Accused remained involved in several criminal cases and was arrested 4-5 times earlier.
