A 22- year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by four of her neighbours, while in another case of sexual assault on women in the capital, a juvenile boy raped a minor girl, who lives closed to his house.
A case of gangrape was registered on Wednesday at the Ranhaula police station in west Delhi by members of Aam Aadmi Party, who claimed to have rushed to help the victim when they got to know of the incident.

The victim, who lives in west Delhi, was allegedly lured by a person known to her to the house of one of the rape-accused, where she was raped by the house-owner and three of his friends. 'All four accused are absconding and a case under section 376 has been registered against them,' said the police officer.

According to the victim,  she had been alone at home for the past few days, as her husband had gone to his village.

In the other incident, a 14-year-old boy raped an eight-year-old girl at her house in the Begumpur area of west Delhi on Tuesday evening.

'The incident took place when the child was alone at home and the accused, a neighbour, forced his way in and sexually assaulted her,’ police said. The girl’s parents later filed a police complaint. The boy was detained, after a medical examination of the girl confirmed rape.
