Man under fire for lying about wife

A woman constable has filed a complaint against an army man claiming that he had entered into a wedlock with her after hiding that he was already married, police said on Monday.

Police registered a case at Saraswati Vihar police station following the complaint by the constable who claimed she was physically harassed.

She had met the soldier, who was posted in Punjab, last year while coming from Rohtak to Delhi in a train.

‘He married her without telling her that he already has a wife,’ police said.

When the constable came to know about this, he threatened her with dire consequences, police said.

She also accused on him for stealing her jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh. Police filed the case under sections of cheating, rape, criminal breach of trust and criminal intimidation.
