A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death, while his accomplice was injured, after they were allegedly attacked by five men in the Dwarka area late Saturday night. Two of the accused have been arrested, the police said.

The incident took place when victims – Mukesh and Kanhaiya, both with a criminal background, visited Dwarka to strike a deal.

“The two, who are residents of Rithala, contracted five men to commit a robbery early this month. A scooty with a suitcase, containing Rs 3.64 lakh, was robbed,” said a senior police official.

The police said that after the robbery, Mukesh did not pay the contract amount to the accused. On Saturday, the five called Mukesh and Kanhaiya to Dwarka Sector-22. The duo reached there in their car and had a heated argument with the five men, who were in another car. When the duo refused to pay the money, the five allegedly stabbed Mukesh and Kanhaiya and stuffed them in their car and drove them to an isolated place.

The police spotted two cars and stopped them for checking. The team found Mukesh and Kanhaiya seated in a pool of blood in one of the cars. The police arrested Ajay and Deepak, who were with the victims in the car, while three of their other accomplices managed to flee.

The police rushed Mukesh and Kanhaiya to a hospital, where Mukesh was declared brought dead.

Initially, Kanhaiya tried to mislead the police. However, later he narrated the entire sequence of event.

A case under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at the Dwarka Sector-23 police station and teams have been formed to nab the three accused.
