In what seems to be a Hollywood movie script, in which a spy agent is poisoned by another using an injection, two men in Delhi conspired to enact the deadly script; one playing the contract injection killer and another the insane lover who paid a hefty sum of Rs 1.5 lakh for the killing contract.

This first of its kind story in Delhi has four characters. One Ravi who worked with a Bank as a cashier, his wife Savita (name changed), one Anish who was Savita’s lover and one physiotherapist Prem, the executioner.

A week after the new year, on January 7, Ravi Kumar (27), was going to his home after closing Kotak Mahindra Bank  where he worked as a cashier, quite unaware that the next few minutes would turn out to be his last. As he reached near Westend Bara Tuti Chowk in Sadar Bazar area of North Delhi, a pair of eyes followed him. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pinch on his neck. He saw that he has been attacked by an injection by a boy who tried to escape. However, the accused was caught with the help of general public. The accused was identified as Prem.

“On his sustained interrogation, Prem confessed that he administered the injection of a combination of
Midazolam and Fortwin Phenergan at the instance of one Anish Yadav of Palam Colony. Accused Prem is a qualified psychotherapist,” said DCP North Jatin Naewal.

He also confessed that a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh was paid to him by Anish to kill Ravi. The motive was more shocking. Anish gave a killing contract to Prem as he was in a one-sided love with Savita, Ravi’s wife as both studied together and Anish developed feelings for Savita.

Though the cops arrested Anish and Prem for the murder of Ravi but this new modus operandi might turn out to be a new headache for the cops.
