A man was apprehended at the IGI Airport (IGIA) here for allegedly trying to smuggle in 12 gold biscuits. Officials said that a passenger arriving from Bahrain, identified as Muzaffarnagar-based M Hussain, was intercepted in the afternoon by a CISF squad. ‘A total of 12 gold biscuits, weighing about 2.5-kg was recovered from him. He has been handed over to Customs authorities for further action,’ said CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh. The estimated value of the haul is Rs 75 lakh.
