A 24-year-old man was arrested for alleged involvement in a train theft case, police said on Friday.
Mohd Tausif, who had bought stolen jewels worth Rs 20 lakh from a thief, has confessed to the crime.
He admitted to buying the stolen jewels from Manipur native Andrew Roberts who stole the valuables in the Pooja Express train at Ajmer on 13 February.
Additional Commissioner of Police, Central Delhi, said they had received information on Tausif’s whereabouts yesterday acting on which search operations were conducted to nab the culprit. Search for Roberts and other accomplices is on.
