A 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl, his neighbor, at Rasipuram in the district, police said. Velmurugan invited the seven-year-old girl to his house for watching a TV programme and sexually assaulted her. Hearing the girl’s cries, others in the area rescued her, police said.
