Man arrested for raping, burning teenager alive, police look for accomplice
Inviting boyfriend home while her partents were away cost the life of a teenaged girl. The boyfriend came with his friend and the duo gang-raped her before burning her alive, said police.
The police finally nabbed the boyfriend on third day of the incident who confessed his crime.
The incident happened in the Loni area of Ghaziabad on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Ashima, 14, a Class IX student, invited her neighbour, Firoz, 18, at round 9.30 pm. According to the police, Firoz has confessed his crime and even gave the detailed account of that fateful night.
‘The girl invited her boyfried to come at her home as her parents have gone to attend a marriage in Meerut and two younger brothers were sleeping. Firoz went there with his friend Gulzar, 18. Gulzar stood guard outside while Firoz had sex with the girl. But when Firoz insisted that she does the same with Gulzar, the girl refused and threatened to tell her parents. They gang-raped her through the night, taking turns. In the early morning, they set her on fire in her house. The half burnt body was discovered by the neighbours on Tuesday morning,’ said Brij Mohan Yadav, Inspector, Loni Police Station in Ghaziabad.
The police traced her call to Firoz. ‘We are on the lookout for Gulzar,’ added Yadav.
