Muhyiddin Yassin has been dropped as Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister. Home minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi would be replacing him. Najib has been under increasing pressure after leaked documents alleged that millions had gone into his personal account from a state fund 1MDB.
Another dismissal was of Attorney General Abdul Ghani Patail.

“I can accept <g data-gr-id="21">difference</g> of opinion but as a cabinet member one cannot do it in a public forum as it can create <g data-gr-id="22">public</g> misconception. This also <g data-gr-id="19">affect</g> the concept of collective responsibility,” premier Najib said while announcing the new Cabinet line-up here.

Najib added that the reshuffle was also to strengthen the lineup before the 14th general election. He said the decision to go ahead with the reshuffle took into account the political scenario and was in the best interest of the administration.
