Make Suresh Chandra Bose’s dissention note public: Netaji’s family to ask PM

Update: 2015-10-07 00:47 GMT
Chitra Ghosh, Sarat Chandra Bose’s daughter (also Netaji’s niece), will lead the delegation and that Chandra Kumar Bose (Netaji’s grand nephew) will be the spokesperson of the family.

London-based Madhuri Bose, Chandra Kumar Bose’s sister and grand <g data-gr-id="22">neice</g> of Netaji, will also attend the meeting. She has raised the issue of declassification of secret Netaji files with the UK Government and has filed an RTI to that effect. Apart from Chitra Ghosh, Chandra Kumar Bose, Madhuri Bose, Abhijit Ray (Sarat Chandra Bose’s grandson) will be part of the core team, which will meet Modi.

“Our agenda is clear. Declassify all files under the state and Central government, write to the premier of relevant foreign countries to release all secret files on Netaji, send a high-powered team to visit all these countries, and place Suresh Chandra Bose’s <g data-gr-id="19">dissention</g> report (he was part of the Shah Nawaz Committee that filed a report in 1956 and was appointed by Nehru to look at Bose’s death mystery) in the National Archives of India, which can be accessed by the public. Suresh Chandra Bose had published this report as a book, which is hardly found in India now,” aid Chandra Kumar Bose..

The family will also demand that the Mukherjee Commission report (2006) – rejected by the then government of India – be reviewed again and debated in Parliament. “Justice Mukherjee had reported after visiting the crash site that Netaji did not die in the Taihoku <g data-gr-id="23">aircrash</g> and that the ash kept at the Renkoji temple belonged to one <g data-gr-id="24">Ichira</g> Okura – a Japanese soldier and not that to Netaji,” he said.
