Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar on Tuesday carried out a major reshuffle. DCP (East) Prabhakar, who came under attack after the gang-rape of a five-year-old girl, has been shifted to Prime Minister’s security. Prabhakar has been posted as DCP/Security (PM) from DCP(east). Ajay Kumar (IPS batch 2001) has been posted as DCP (east) from DCP/Security (PM). Along with DCP (east), other senior officials to be transferred are Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south) and Vivek Kishore, DCP/Hqrs. Both are being relieved from Delhi Police on transfer to Mizoram.
Sharma has been replaced in South district by B Shanker Jaiswal, who was DCP (outer). Jaiswal would hand over charge to Sanjay Kumar, who would be Additional CP (outer).
