LoP walks out from Assembly

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Tuesday alleged that the decrease in cost of flyover construction is due to technical reasons and government failed to control corruption in government offices. Gupta along with two BJP MLAs staged a walk out from the Assembly alleging that the Speaker was not allowing to present facts.

As Gupta stood to raise his issue under Rule 280 in the Delhi Assembly, he attacked the Delhi government particularly Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and alleged him of ‘ditching’ the people of Delhi by spreading false information. “Saving money was possible due to four reasons — some items like Foot Over Bridges were not constructed, sound proof devices were not used, change in design and prices of cement and construction material came down,” said Gupta.

“Speaker is conducting the house in highly biased manner and did not allow me to present the facts in the house forcing us with no option but to walk out,” he added.
