Lok Nirman Party president, Mir Hasan Alvi, on Sunday called on Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit to express his support for the Congress party.
Alvi was accompanied by 600 party workers. Alvi expressed faith in the leadership of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and offered to merge his party with the Congress. Alvi was accompanied by the chairman of Delhi Haj Committee Pravez Mian.
Dikshit appreciated the offer of Lok Nirman Party and decided to admit them in the Congress. She asked the workers to disseminate the achievements of the Delhi government.
