Remember the little boy who had you smiling in I Am Kalam? Yes, we are talking about Harsh Mayar. The child prodigy, if we can label him so. The Delhi-based actor, studying in class 9 right now, is making big steps in to both Bollywood and Hollywood. Millennium Post caught up with Mayar for a candid chat on what lies next.

A student of Government School in Delhi, Harsh has been involved in theatre from the time he was 6 or 7 years old. He is a part of the Shri Ram Centre repertoire since then. And this is where he auditioned for I Am Kalam and cracked the deal.

I Am Kalam, directed by Nila Madhab Panda, revolves around Chhotu, a poor Rajasthani boy, who is inspired by APJ Abdul Kalam. Harsh playes Chhotu, whose infectious smile and zeal for life had everyone smiling.

Harsh is currently working on a Bollywood flick Chaar Footiye Chokra with Soha Ali Khan and here’s the bigger scoop. Harsh has just finished working on Hollywood movie Desire of the Heart with Gulshan Grover.

Here’s hoping this pint sized dynamo keeps churning out some more great movies.
