Life imprisonment sentence for 19 in triple murder case

The local court of additional district & session judge R.B. Sharma has awarded the life imprisonment sentence for 19 accused in the triple murder case. The court has also slapped a fine of Rs. 1,92,000, out of which 1 lakh is to be given to the victim of the offence under section 357 of Cr.P.C.  This was a highly sensitive case of a triple murder in which four others sustained serious injuries. The court recorded 23 witnesses within a period of less than 10 months, starting the trial in the month of Jan 2012. The trial was concluded within a record time of less than 20 months from the date of charge.

As per the story of prosecution, on 6 April, 2011 at 7 am when the victim lady Nasareen was going out of the home, she was molested by the accused Sonu and Wahid. On returning back to home she complained the matter to her family members. Hazi Hameed and Nawabuddin went to the house of accused Sonu to enquire into the matter of molestation. On being assured that they (the accused persons) themselves are coming to Nasreen’s house to explain and settle the matter, both the deceased returned back to their home. After an hour, at about 8 am, 20 people forcibly entered into the house of victim and attacked all the members of the family with fire arms and fatal weapons, about seven persons sustained serious injuries. Hazi Hameed died on spot and  Nawabuddin succumbed to  his injuries, while being taken to Delhi Hospital for treatment.
