Third World Comedy, a stand up comedy show designed for the third world countries is going to be staged in the Capital on 23 August. Behroopiya Entertainers in association with Loony Goons and Comedy has organised the show that will feature comedians like - Abijit Ganguly, Nishant Tanwar and Zakir Khan.
Third World Comedy is a comedy that highlights the facts from all the third world countries and India also happens to be one of the them. The artistes, with their own perspective, will bring out how Indians don’t realise the difference between our nation and the other developed nations. It will also feature interactions, sketches, improvisation and parody songs.
Ganguly has been performing as a stand-up artiste for three years now. Mostly, his sets are anecdotes and he relies on audience relating to what they hear in order to get the laughs.
Tanwar is known as ‘Joke Singh’ in the stand-up comedy circuit. He takes digs at stereotypes and Indian culture. Interacting effortlessly with his audience, Tanwar’s humor is universal - connecting with all segments of people breaking social and age group barriers.
Khan is the winner of Comedy Central’s hunt for Best Stand Up Comic of India. A cartoon by heart, comedian by nature, a writer by profession and performer by birth, he will take you to a laughter ride. So head over!
