Kristen Stewart to direct short film

The film will comprise of 12 short films, which will be created by female filmmakers, writers and animators and the first offering, actor and filmmaker Chloe Sevigny’s Kitty, will premiere at Cannes Film Festival later this month.

“In my acting career everything I do, my image and who I am and what I feel represents me is in the hands of a man, usually a white man... I realised very recently that I want to be the one that decides what image I show the public,” Stewrat said. Also joining Stewart and Sevigny in the anthology series is Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe,  making her directorial debut with A Tale of Four Women.
