Kolkata: Siddha Foundation and Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA)will present Live In Lakes Durga Sarobar Music Festival, the longest music festival of the city.
It will be held from September 24 to 29 between 6-9 pm at Rabindra Sarobar. The festival will see a star line up including Usha Uthup, Murshidabadi Project, Dipannita Acharya, Debashish and Rohini Raychaudhuri among others and is free and open to all the public to attend.
Live in Lakes is a unique, live, open-air performing arts event at Rabindra Sarobar held in association with the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority. Free and open to the public, this happens each Sunday evening outdoors by the Rabindra Sarobar Lakes, across the road from Menoka Cinema. Live in Lakes has received the patronage of the Siddha Group since its inception in 2011.
"Siddha has been promoting music and culture in the city since 2011 through the Live In Series. We have concerts for the public — Live in Parks, Live in Ganges and Live in Lakes — concerts for social outreach as Live in Dignity in old age homes, Live in School concerts for underprivileged children and Live in Concert (inside concert halls and featuring musical legends). Live in Lakes is unique because of how we collaborate with the neighbourhood community and other cultural organisations," said Sanjay Jain, Managing Director, Siddha Group.
