Kolkata: Pradip Kumar Mitra becomes new DME (DME), replacing Prof Dr Debasish Bhattacharya.
This comes a day after Principal Secretary of the Health department was replaced, following the medical students' agitation at Calcutta Medical College and Hospital.
Mitra was once the Director of SSKM Hospital before he was posted as the OSD of multi super speciality hospitals. The state Health department has issued a notice on Tuesday, announcing the charge of guard. Bhattacharya will now act as OSD in the Health department in the rank of DME.
