The city police will take all necessary steps to ensure smooth flow of traffic during Madhyamik examinations which is scheduled to begin from February 22. Senior police officers including Supratim Sarkar, Joint Commissioner of police, held a meeting with senior officials of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education at lalbazar on Monday.
The city traffic police will take necessary measures to avoid usual traffic congestion. Restrictions would be imposed on movement of goods vehicles on certain thoroughfares. Decisions have been taken to ensure that all photocopy shops around an examination centre remain close from 11.30 am to 3 pm. The step has been taken to prevent incidents of copying.
The question papers will be sent to police stations a day before every examination and the same will be sent to school on the day of the examination under tight security.
