The Calcutta high court on Tuesday rejected the bail pleas of 5 accused CPI(M) leaders who were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Netai killings that had taken place in 2011.
The CBI has been conducting an investigation in connection with the incident. The counsels of the accused moved the court seeking bail in connection with a case which was started by Lalgarh police station on January 7 in 2011. The division Bench of Justice Ashim Kumar Roy rejected the plea of the accused ~ Anuj Pandey, Dalim Pandey, Fullora Mondal, Chandi Karan and Md Khaliluddin. It may be mentioned that Additional Session Judge, West Midnapore on September 2, 2014 rejected the bail plea the last time.
