Subrata Mukherjee, the state Panchayat minister, on Friday went to the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Narada sting operation.
Mukherjee said that he will cooperate with the investigating agency and added: "The investigating agency wanted to speak to me and I have hence come. I'm ready to cooperate."
When asked about the transaction of money in Narada sting operation, Mukherjee told media persons jokingly that "there were some mistakes. It is wrong if it is said that I have taken Rs 5 lakh. It was Rs 3.5 lakh. In that case, I will request them to collect the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh".
He also told media persons that the ED officers had certain queries in connection with the case and he also had food in the ED's office.
